Job description

Are you an action-oriented leader with a passion for performance and analytics? As the Manager, Performance and Business Insights, you will play a critical role in supporting the Ontario, Atlantic, and Western regions by driving performance excellence and delivering impactful business insights across P&C Insurance for Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Life Insurance, and Financial Services for the Direct distribution and Desjardins Agent Network. This role supports both Agents, internal Operations and management by identifying and diagnosing performance trends and transforming complex data into clear, actionable analytics that shape strategic decisions. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Lead a high-performing team of professionals in developing and evolving data analytics and insights tied to key performance indicators across the Ontario, Atlantic, and Western regions

  • Design and deliver innovative, simplified, and actionable performance reporting and dashboards that support Agent autonomy and strategic decision-making

  • Drive the annual budget exercise for Direct distribution and Desjardins Agent Network for Ontario, Atlantic, and Western regions, developing and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and growth objectives, and presenting recommendations at the Executive level

  • Act as the primary point of contact for performance data, analytics, and insights, collaborating with stakeholders across Actuarial, Underwriting, BI, Strategy, Marketing, and other key functions

  • Champion data governance and business intelligence practices that ensure accuracy, consistency, and strategic value across the division

  • Foster a culture of agility, proactivity, and continuous improvement, thriving in an exciting environment while maintaining focus on strategic deliverables

  • Demonstrate strong change leadership and influence, aligning team responsibilities with long-term organizational goals and driving engagement, development, and diversity

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization, influencing positive outcomes through strong communication and cross-functional alignment

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial, Finance, MBA, Data Science, Data Analytics, Applied Mathematicsor a related field

  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience including four years of management experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Experience in Property & Casualty and Financial Services

  • Advanced knowledge and comfortable using reporting suites and data tools (PowerBI, Excel, SAS, Powerpoint)

  • Intermediate knowledge of the Desjardins Agent Network
