As the Manager, Origination Decision Systems & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating benefits for credit strategies, customers, and the bank. Leveraging enterprise-level data management tools and advanced analytics, you’ll collaborate closely with Global Risk teams, business lines, Digital Banking, and IT. Your responsibilities include programming the credit strategies on Origination Decision Systems, applying advanced analytics techniques, exploring ideas to enhance retail lending portfolios within risk appetite thresholds, and identifying opportunities for innovative credit offers based on risk-reward frameworks and the GRM’s digital strategy. This role demands solid programming skills, rigorous logical thinking, communication, curiosity, and strong teamwork abilities.

You will operate at the intersection of math/stats, computer science, and domain knowledge in Risk Management, Finance, or Marketing. Additionally, you will work towards various strategic initiatives, participate in the risk-reward strategy development, driving innovation and digital transformation across the Bank and Global Risk Management.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  1. Provide system analysis, object-oriented design/programming, technical documentation, and deployment of origination strategies for retail portfolios in Caribbean regions.
  2. Collaborate with business partners in assessing the system status quo and provide recommendations on system improvement.
  3. Leverage advanced and predictive data analytics techniques (including AI/ML tools) to analyze, research, and develop innovative credit solutions and policies, to support growth and strategy optimization opportunities in Caribbean and Central American markets.
  4. Monitor, assess and evaluate various life cycle strategies as well as overall portfolio performance. Through various dimensions of analysis, work closely with business partners across the region to develop actionable tactical recommendations to enhance program effectiveness and profitability of the Retail Portfolio.
  5. Work with business line partners to ensure business strategies across life cycle are consistent with the Risk Appetite Framework.
  6. Make recommendations to senior management on strategy enhancements, retail portfolio insights, and ad-hoc analysis.
  7. Perform in-depth data analysis to detect trends of customer performance and document analytical methodology.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  1. Post-secondary education in a relevant STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
  2. Knowledge or experience using Java, Java Script, Blaze, or JSON.
  3. Ability to work with large volumes of structured and unstructured non-traditional data.
  4. Proficiency in big data tools and programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R or Python.
  5. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  6. Strong communication skills to translate technical knowledge into business value.
