  • Monitor risk on engagements under your responsibility.
  • Continuously build EY’s Forensics presence in the marketplace, participate in the regular update and refinement of the forensic practice business plan with a view to building visibility either through repeat mandates with existing clients, new mandates with prospective clients or referrals from other EY service lines or external professional services firms.
  • Deliver quality and value-added service on engagements, manage the delivery of services to clients (oversee client files from the planning to the closing stage) and ensure consistent high quality services to clients.
  • Mentor professionals with proven abilities, motivate and mentor high-performing professionals to achieve full individual and team potential, provide strong coaching and training to achieve operational excellence.
  • Willingness and ability to travel on occasion.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • The ability to lead work on forensic engagements and supervise professionals assigned to the teams.
  • Relevant experience in investigations of suspected or alleged fraud and other irregularities and economic damage quantification in connection with disputes.
  • Proven marketing and business development skills in coordinating and preparing proposals.
  • Demonstrated ability managing multiple engagements and client relationships as well as providing thought leadership to the team.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in forensic accounting.
  • A completed CPA or CA designation.
  • Professional certification or designation in forensic accounting or business valuation.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English. Competencies in other languages would be an asset.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent judgment.
  • The ability to deliver training.
  • The ability to conduct initial consultation meetings with clients.
  • A strong ability to analyze and summarize, particularly when lines are blurred.
  • The ability to manage priorities.
