Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a Manager, Operations & Membership (20 Month Full Time Contract) in the Nuclear Industry in Pickering, Ontario. The Manager, Operations and Membership is crucial in a dynamic non-profit, overseeing internal functions to ensure smooth, efficient operations aligned with strategic goals. They support the President and Vice President, coordinate operations, engage members, and drive organizational growth.

A typical day:

  1. Update policies, ensure Health & Safety compliance, coordinate staff onboarding, and provide basic IT support.
  2. Manage procurement of promotional materials and ensure smooth daily operations.
  3. Manage onboarding, welcome packages, presentations, and daily support for positive engagement.
  4. Maintain the online portal, create the annual Member Directory, administer surveys, and coordinate renewals.
  5. Assist in planning and delivering key initiatives, providing administrative and logistical support across departments.
  6. Support Board elections and records, and work closely with team members for efficient execution.
  7. Assist with creating and formatting materials like slide decks, infographics, and promotional collateral.
  8. Lead the development and design of the organization's Annual Report, coordinating content collection and publication.

The successful candidate brings:

  1. Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle - role requires occasional travel within Ontario for events.
  2. College diploma or university degree, preferably in operations or a related field.
  3. 3–5 years of increasing responsibility in operations, membership services, or program coordination, ideally within a non-profit, association, or membership-based organization.
  4. Proficient in managing interactions with staff, members, and executives.
  5. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  6. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and website design. Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign, PowerPoint) for creating internal documents and promotional materials.
  7. Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing projects from inception to completion, including publications, presentations, surveys, and member events.
  8. Exceptional skills in organizing and managing time, with the capability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.

Total rewards:

  1. $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 hourly.
  2. Hybrid work model: work in office 3 days per week.
