What is the opportunity?

RBCx is a true partner for technology and life sciences companies from startup to IPO by building meaningful programs and opportunities to connect, inspire and support founders and investors. As the Manager of Operations, you will support the RBCx National Team, primarily the Banking pillar and the Senior Manager, Operations with delivery of the operations responsibilities on a timely and consistent basis.

RBCx’s Manager, Operations plays a key role in the planning, directing, and overseeing the national banking team’s operational processes and policies, annual goal setting and reporting cycles, initiatives and new product development. RBCx’s Manager, Operations helps & supports the group execute long-term and short-term plans by implementing judgement, vision, organization and management.

What will you do?

  • Prepare and support national day-to-day operations, such as data inputs for RBCx market share, tracking referrals into other parts of RBC, NCAs (new client acquisition and attribution), and Business results
  • Assist with special projects (such as large client migrations, new industry verticals, roll-out of enterprise programs), serving as an initiatives and implementation role
  • Update business results and reconcile numbers for monthly reporting to support P&L owners
  • Prepare data, perform analysis, and reconcile numbers for quarterly & annual business reviews including ad-hoc updates for the senior leadership team. Prepare presentations using PPT and maintain an up-to-date set of slides for use by leadership quarterly to share business performance.
  • Support the annual business goal setting cycle by preparing backward-looking and forward-looking results and forecasts, to inform sales leaders to effectively make decisions for the upcoming year.
  • Responsible for managing licenses and subscriptions for Banking and Fund Banking teams (e.g. Pitchbook, CrunchBase, CVCA, Sales Navigator)
  • Responsible for ensuring alignment between RBCx Banking sales teams and the capacity model (e.g. desk-loads)
  • Directly support the Senior Manager, Operations, especially for new product development and new policy & procedures, guidelines, and documentation as well as financial analyses.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong organizational awareness, including navigating complex Operations environments
  • Excellent web-based skills, such as Microsoft Office suite (including PPT, Excel, Outlook), WebEx
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in financial industry, preferably at RBC
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative attitude
  • Demonstrate ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
  • Independent responsibility for duties with demonstrated follow-through to completion
  • Maintain a detail-oriented approach while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Completion of Post-Secondary degree or Diploma program in business, finance or another related discipline

Nice-to-have

  • Bilingual (English & French)
  • Previous RBC Canadian Banking Operations (BSC, BLOG etc.) experience with strong policy & procedure knowledge
  • Ability to expertly navigate Synergy, Sales Platform, Info Access and other ERPs and CRMs
