Summary:

The Manager of Oncology Operations oversees and manages the daily operations of the Cancer Center. This includes the business operations of Infusion Therapy, Breast Imaging, Breast Clinic, Radiation Oncology, Hematology Oncology, Oncology Support Services, and Patient Access Services. Reporting to the Administrative Director of Oncology Services, this role will play an integral part in both financial and operational success for the entire division.

Responsibilities:

· Ensures compliance with DNV and is accountable for the environment of care and facilities management. Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures related to facility management and caretaking.

· Maintain accountability for core finances, including monthly revenue/expense for each of the 10 departments within the service line, assist in budgets and financial reporting/analysis, assist in both operational and capital purchasing, provides financial metrics when requested.

· Responsible for monitoring and compliance of all charging, billing, collection functions as appropriate in the service line.

· Responsible for monitoring/auditing processes and regularly reporting the outcomes.

· Collaborates closely with providers, clinical leaders, and support service teams to ensure a quality based, patient oriented environment.

· Addresses patient/family, physician team member concerns in a timely manner and follows up as needed.

· Investigates and addresses any concerns, implementing change as needed, monitoring the effectiveness of solutions and communicating recommendations to the Director of Clinical Operations and the Administrative Director of Oncology Services.

· Works directly with clinical leaders to oversee policy and program development along with implementation. Collaborates with those leaders to continually assess and direct a wide range of issues, including operational, personnel and financial management.

· Responsible for the direct supervision of the customer service team which includes medical record management and referral management.

· Provides indirect supervision and support to financial navigation and oncology support services team.

· Will play a key role in the development of business intelligence and AI tools to optimize efficiency within the service line.

· Works with leaders from all areas to develop strategic/creative strategies to allow for expansion within Pardee’s PSA.

· Will serve as the point person to ensure marketing campaigns, events, Foundation initiatives are completed successfully

· Responsible for assisting with data analytics that will drive operational decision making and strategic growth.

Qualifications

Required

  • Five (5) years of experience working in a private practice and/or clinical office setting.
  • Two (2) years of previous management experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Experience working with standard desktop productivity suites such as Microsoft Office
  • Experience or training with basic accounting principles
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Healthcare Administration or related field of study
  • Experience working with EPIC or another EMR system

Preferred

  • MBA, MHA, or master’s degree in a related field of study
  • Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) as issued by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA)
  • CMOM – certified medical office manager
  • Certification in lean/six sigma
  • Intermediate experience working in EPIC Slicer-Dicer, EPIC Reporting Workbench, Tableau
  • Preferred (3) years’ experience in a leadership role within an accredited Oncology Program
