Position Summary:

This full-time permanent position is an on-site role located in Regina, SK. The Manager of School Age Programs will be responsible for managing the Before and After School Care, Day Camp, and Summer Camp programs. The successful candidate will work with their team to create a safe and fun environment while supervising, planning, and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the programs. Additionally, the Manager will play a key role in expanding the programs to new locations and enhancing the overall reach and impact of Park Play's offerings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field is beneficial.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with school-age children in a management or supervisory role.
• Valid certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledgeable in planning and coordinating programming that encourages children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, attentive to details, and ability to multitask and prioritize.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures that Park Play’s School Age Programs follow all regulations at locations that it runs in.
• Ensures that the senior management is kept informed through advice and reports and is thereby enabled to perform their roles on all matters about programming and enrolment activities.
• Keeps abreast of leading programs related to early childhood development and develop innovative ideas that may be introduced in Park Play.
• Manages and coordinates feedback and input from School Age Programs host locations, principals, teachers, staff, parents, and children.
• Recruits, manages, and directs all Site Supervisors to implement Park Play’s programs effectively and efficiently.
• Oversees and coordinates nutrition and hygiene requirements for all locations that Park Play School Age Programs runs in.
• Assist, develop and coach Site Supervisors in all aspects of their jobs including but not limited to:

1. Standardized approach to childcare
2. Child discipline processes
3. Drop off and pick up procedures
4. Food planning and delivery
5. Staff management and discipline
6. Staff scheduling and sick time management
