Manager of Individual Giving

POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager of Individual Giving will provide oversight for leadership annual giving as well as manage a portfolio of major gift prospects. This role is responsible for securing philanthropic gifts and developing prospect strategies, cultivation, solicitation and follow-up activities with major gift prospects and donors.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
• Manages Leffingwell Society process and members including solicitation and retention of new andrenewed members, materials, events, etc.
• Build and maintain a portfolio of 150-200 Leffingwell Society donors and prospects.
• Work with the Development Team, Development Committee and Board Members to identify, cultivate,solicit and steward donors and prospects to meet annual fundraising goals.
• Conduct cultivation and solicitation visits with donors and prospects.
• Provide consistent follow-up post meetings, events, and other activities to secure commitmentsor move relationships forward.
• Collaborate with Events Manager on Leffingwell Society events.
• Track and report relationship-management activity using database.
• Manage expenses as budgeted.
• Participate in organizational events and programs that support efforts to meet annualfundraising goals.
• Other duties as assigned to meet organizational goals.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capability to obtain functional knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and online giving portals.
• Proven ability to solicit and secure major gifts.
• Exceptional relationship-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with individuals from varying backgrounds.

LICENSE(S)/CERTIFICATION(S) REQUIRED:
• Valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDITIONS:
• Constantly operates computers and other office equipment.
• Frequently works in an indoor office environment.
• Occasionally required to traverse the park over uneven terrain during events.
• Occasionally lifts and moves materials up to 40 pounds.
