Hillel Ontario is seeking a Manager of Holocaust Education to develop and oversee Holocaust education initiatives, leadership development, and student-led programming across its campuses. The role involves creating curricula, guiding student cohorts, and strategizing overall Holocaust programming. The candidate will build a framework to cultivate student leaders who will promote Holocaust awareness through innovative programming. The salary is $55,000 for a full-time, 3-year grant-funded position, renewable based on funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Holocaust education curricula and recruitment plans for student cohorts.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Education and campus staff to oversee SHARE Fellowship: Students for Holocaust Awareness, Remembrance, and Education.
  • Empower and mentor SHARE fellows and student leaders to create educational programs and initiatives.
  • Support planning and execution of Holocaust Education Week on campuses.
  • Visit campuses regularly to support student programming and training.
  • Organize large-scale cross-campus initiatives, including speakers and events.
  • Track engagement data in HEaRT and collaborate with community partners focused on Holocaust education.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a strong Jewish educational background, particularly in history and Holocaust Studies, with experience in formal and informal education.
