The Role

This pivotal role is responsible for driving feed optimization strategies using AI and automation, ensuring sustainable growth, and leading a high-performing team within our Operations Centre. If you are passionate about aquaculture innovation, performance analytics, and remote technology, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Feed Management

  • Develop and oversee AI-driven feeding strategies to maximize fish growth and minimize Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR).
  • Ensure feeding practices meet environmental standards and avoid benthic impact.

Team Leadership & Support

  • Lead and mentor Operations Centre Team Leaders and Feed Analysts.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for feeding operations.

Innovation & Program Leadership

  • Drive strategic initiatives including:
  • Project Foundation - Continuous improvement in FCR and growth.
  • Co-Pilot - Expansion of automated feeding through Observe technology.

Performance Reporting

  • Deliver bi-weekly performance reports to senior leadership, including KPIs such as feed output, mortality biomass, and net bio-gain vs forecast.

Forecasting & Accuracy

  • Contribute to monthly feed forecasting and ensure actuals align within ±3% of projections.

Infrastructure Planning

  • Design and maintain optimal feed infrastructure plans to support fish flow and operational flexibility.

Remote Operations Expertise

  • Act as the subject matter expert on remote operations technologies, including wireless networks and remote control of generators and compressors.
  • Collaborate with Centralized Feed Technicians to ensure seamless onsite support.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Animal Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in aquaculture operations, feed strategy, or related field.
  • Proven leadership experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with performance reporting and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with AI and automation technologies in aquaculture.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance and sustainability practices.
