Job Information
You would be responsible for leading the development of the Corporation's operations and capital budgets, totaling over $150 million. This position is critical to ensuring the appropriate allocation of resources for the successful delivery of programs, services, and support. You would have direct supervision of a Financial Planning and Budget Analyst and casual staff.
This is a great opportunity to further learn about the North's business environment and economics. You would collaborate with indigenous governments, the federal government, regional housing organizations, and contractors.
To be successful in this position, you typically need a Degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting from Canada, along with a recognized Canadian professional accounting designation (such as CA, CGA, CMA, CPA), and five (5) years of current and directly related management experience. The following equivalencies will be considered:
- Completion of any degree, with active enrolment in the Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program and qualified to write the Common Final Examination (CFE), with six (6) years of applicable work experience, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience;
- Completion of any degree, with active enrolment in the Canadian CPA program at the Professional Education Program (PEP) level, with eight (8) years of applicable work experience, including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
