Job description

KingSett Capital is seeking a Manager of Finance to join the Toronto team, reporting to the Director of Finance. Role Responsibilities
  1. Management and review of the monthly and quarterly reporting process, including preparing consolidated financial statements, investor summary reports, real estate portfolio analysis, and other ad hoc analyses as required.
  2. Annual consolidation of Fund financial results, including year-end audit working papers, ASPE financial statements, and liaising with auditors and the tax team.
  3. Management of the annual budget process.
  4. Preparation and review of investor-related activities, including capital calls, distributions, investor statements, addressing investor requests, and maintaining the integrity of the investor database.
  5. Manage treasury processes, including forecasting cash flows, managing borrowings, and allocating debt/interest.
  6. Prepare debt compliance packages and actively manage capital models to ensure Funds are onside with covenants.
  7. Assist asset management and investment teams with information requests, review of SOAs, and provide necessary analyses.
Candidate Profile
  1. Undergraduate degree in finance or business commerce.
  2. Actively pursuing or holding a CPA designation is preferred.
  3. 4-5 years of experience in finance.
  4. Real estate experience is preferred.
  5. Working knowledge of financial statements and related notes, including ASPE.
  6. Proficiency in MS Suite, especially Excel functions.
  7. Experience using Yardi software is an asset.
  8. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
  9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience interacting with various internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Exceptional analytical skills to assess complex situations and recommend effective solutions.
  11. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful.
  12. High professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  13. Team player with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
