Job summary

KingSett Capital is seeking a Manager of Finance in Toronto to join the finance team reporting to the Director of Finance. You will oversee monthly/quarterly reporting, consolidate fund results, budgeting, investor activities, and treasury operations in a fast-paced, transparent environment.

Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in finance or business commerce, 4–5 years in finance, and preferably CPA designation. Real estate experience and knowledge of ASPE/IFRS are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly and quarterly reporting, consolidated statements, investor summaries, and portfolio analysis.
  • Year-end consolidation, audit workpapers, liaise with auditors/tax team.
  • Oversee annual budget process.
  • Prepare investor-related activities and maintain investor database.
  • Manage treasury: cash flow forecasting, borrowings, debt allocations.
  • Prepare debt covenants packages and monitor capital models.
  • Support asset management with information requests and analyses.

KingSett Capital is seeking a Manager of Finance to join the Toronto team reporting to the Director of Finance. Role Responsibilities
  • Management and review of the monthly and quarterly reporting process, including preparing consolidated financial statements, investor summary reports, real estate portfolio analysis and other ad hoc analysis as required
  • Annual consolidation of Fund financial results, including year-end audit working papers, ASPE financial statements and liaise with auditors and tax team
  • Management of the annual budget process
  • Preparation and review of investor related activities, including capital calls, distributions, investor statements, address investor requests, as well as test and maintain integrity of the investor database
  • Manage treasury process, including forecasting cash flows, managing borrowings and allocating debt/interest
  • Prepare debt compliance packages and actively manage capital models to ensure Funds are onside with covenants
  • Assisting asset management and investment teams with information requests, reviewing SOAs as well as providing any required analysis
Candidate Profile
  • Undergraduate degree in finance or business commerce
  • Actively pursuing or holder of a CPA designation is preferred
  • 4-5 years of experience in finance
  • Real Estate experience would be preferred
  • Working knowledge of financial statements and related notes, including ASPE and IFRS is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Suite with a focus on Excel functions
  • Experience using Yardi software is an asset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks and demands under tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a particular strength in dealing with a wide variety of individuals at various levels, both internal and external
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability assess complex situations and make effective recommendations
  • Dedicated, well-organized and resourceful individual with a high level of attention to detail
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Team player with positive attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills
Compensation

Base salary range of $115,000-$130,000.

Total compensation includes salary, variable discretionary bonus, benefits, & other perks.
