Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, plan, and oversee engineering department operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and quality standards.
- Develop and implement engineering policies, procedures, and best practices to promote efficiency and consistency.
- Serve as a primary liaison with clients—preparing technical specifications, presenting proposals, and communicating results of engineering analyses and studies.
- Coordinate and review the work of project teams, ensuring timely and accurate completion of technical deliverables.
- Drive the recruitment, training, and development of engineering personnel, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Conduct power system studies such as short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, arc flash analysis, and load flow studies.
- Provide technical and reliability support for industrial and utility clients across a wide range of projects.
- Oversee the application, design, and commissioning of electrical systems and process automation equipment.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation to support engineering decisions and client service activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring consistent communication and responsive support.
- Deliver technical field support for internal teams and external customers as needed.
This role is located in Regina, Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate would be required to relocate for the role.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in an industrial setting or consulting environment.
- Currently registered as a professional engineer with APEGS (Association of Professional Engineers and Geosciences of Saskatchewan).
- Working knowledge of electrical protection, industrial process control, and automation applications.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints, adapt to change, work independently, and participate in a team environment.
- Physical fitness test and drug and alcohol test will be required.
