Job description

Job Title: Manager of Clinical Practice
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Work Environment: Hybrid
Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000

As the Manager of Clinical Practice (MCP), the successful candidate is accountable for implementing effective management practices to promote professional and paraprofessional full scope of clinical practice to achieve excellence in the delivery of care and service to clients/customers. They ensure compliance with internal and external standards of practice and Provincial regulatory requirements. The MCPs identify and coordinate clinical competencies and in-service activities to deliver high quality care.

Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead or participate in quality and continuous improvement activities in line with the company’s Quality Management System, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Support recruitment and selection of Health Care Providers
  • Mentor clinical team members and foster the mentorship framework.
  • Coordinate with clients, government programs, and care team members as required.
  • Participate in business development and community engagement activities
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of client and corporate information, including appropriate digital/cybersecurity safeguards.
  • Manage branch operations in the absence of senior management when needed.
  • Ensure 24/7 clinician access and serve as on-call nurse/clinician as needed.

Experience Required:

  • At least five years of recent experience with progressive responsibilities in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a community setting.
  • Strong track record in leading the development and evaluation of training programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of human resources and interpret company policies and procedures.
  • Experience in business development is considered an asset.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Nursing degree (evidence required), andcurrent registration, in good standing, with the provincial regulating body.
  • Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within the last two (2) years).
  • Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within the last two (2) years).
  • A current Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C (Valid within one (1) year).
  • Must hold, at minimum, a valid Reliability Status security clearance.
  • A Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed at their local municipal Police department.
