A municipal government in Comox Valley Regional District is seeking a Manager of Civic Properties to oversee all technical and building service operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, maintenance, and safety policies for City facilities. This role requires significant experience in facility management and the ability to lead teams effectively. The position offers competitive compensation, with a salary range of $107,120 to $121,727, and is non-unionized, full-time.
The Manager of Civic Properties oversees all aspects of ongoing technical and building service operations, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling all maintenance activities across the Civic Properties portfolio. The position will develop and oversee planning, maintenance, operation and safety/security policies and services for City facilities and properties, ensuring compliance with building maintenance and regulatory requirements and standards. They will develop and monitor the Division’s capital and operating budgets, adhering to the City’s financial policies and procedures. The position will ensure operational mandates are achieved while also ensuring effective project management of capital projects and advising and or leading facility planning initiatives.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for the planning, development, and maintenance of the City’s facilities. The position will work to ensure interest holders understand and support the divisional vision, goals, and objectives and drive the implementation of a successful maintenance management program to ensure safety and reliability of Civic Property assets.
This is a full-time, union-exempt position; start date to be determined. Salary: $107,120 to $121,727 (Pay Band 8).
