Job Description
About the Opportunity:
EMCO Corporation is seeking an experienced and strategic Manager of Business Intelligence (BI) to lead our BI team and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proven leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of data visualization tools, data modeling, and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of BI analysts and developers to deliver actionable insights and data solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable BI solutions that support cross-functional business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand data requirements, strategic business priorities and deliver impactful reporting.
- Develop, communicate and enforce data governance standards and best practices.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools.
- Translate business challenges and questions into data analysis and provide strategic recommendations based on findings.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across platforms.
- Monitor performance of BI systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or data-related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills including the ability to generously listen and seek to understand business priorities and challenges from different key leadership perspectives
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data warehouses and data visualization tools (eg. Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with ETL processes and data modeling techniques.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Azure data platform services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Postgres DB, Azure Data Factory, etc.) an asset

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
