Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Health Research Institute, with a functional reporting affiliated to the Department of Health Research and Evaluation of the Vitalité Health Network, the Manager performs the planning, organization, management and control functions for all administrative, logistical and organizational processes supporting the development of activities related to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC Biobank of Vitalité Health Network. The Manager reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the health research institution, while maintaining functional relationship with the Regional Director of Research and Health Evaluation. The Manager supports the Director in their management duties, both within the Network with affiliated and external partners. Jointly with the scientific head and principal investigators of the Biobank, the manager participates in the development of policies and procedures for Biobank operations in accordance with national and international laws, regulations and standards of practice, as well as Vitalité Health Network policies and procedures. The Manager will assist the Director position the sector as a key organizational player, to support transformations related to the strategic plan. The manager will participate in the development and implementation of the sector's operating plan and will represent management in some forums and meetings. The manager will also be responsible for managing the staff of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Biobank. The manager must be familiar with the hospital environment and postsecondary education institutions and will be responsible for leading large-scale initiatives with the Network's key research partners.
