This will be accomplished through strong leadership using participatory management style, effective management of human and financial resources and partnerships with internal and external services. The Resident Care Manager ensures all services provided are consistent with established long term care standards while operationalizing the principle elements of resident-focused care and the regional and site specific resident care programs. Specific responsibilities will include administration of resident care areas using an interdisciplinary approach; evaluation of nursing service; staff selection, development, motivation and performance appraisal; and management of change in a dynamic environment.
