Located in Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario is one of the largest art museums in North America, attracting approximately one million visitors annually. The AGO Collection of more than 120,000 works of art ranges from contemporary art to significant works by Indigenous, Canadian, and European artists.

Position Details:

  • Type: Regular Full-Time (35 hours/week)
  • Location: Toronto

We are seeking a Manager, Network Systems & Security to oversee the architecture and operations of the AGO’s network, wireless, and firewall infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and reliability. Responsibilities include strategic planning, design, implementation, and management of physical and virtual network infrastructures, as well as cloud integration. You will work closely with the Director, Information Technology to develop and execute technology strategies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the LAN, WAN, and associated network devices/systems, including hardware/software installation, configuration, security, and monitoring.
  • Serving as Subject Matter Expert on network security protocols, configurations, and data flow to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
  • Reviewing network performance, recommending upgrades, and planning for traffic growth.
  • Assessing security requirements and implementing security measures for data protection.
  • Participating in defining network and system requirements and vendor evaluations.
  • Maintaining documentation, system configurations, and policies for network and security systems.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in network systems and security.
  • Hands-on experience with network infrastructure, firewalls, and security products, especially HP Procurve, Aruba, and Fortinet.
  • Support and administration experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra environments.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2019+, Microsoft 365, Windows Desktop, OS X, HPE Aruba, Aruba OS, and Linux.
  • Understanding of internet security, routing protocols, SNMP, QOS, DNS, VPN, and related support/troubleshooting skills.
  • Additional experience with VoIP telephony, PBX, and SIP is preferred.
