Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Account Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for direct sales management of assigned product categories for Midea appliances at National and Key Accounts. This person is a self-starter who is motivated to launch Midea appliances at retailers and assist Midea in its Canadian expansion. The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining existing accounts, developing new accounts, and acting as the lead with retail partners. The position reports to the Director of Sales for Midea Canada.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Establishes productive, professional relationships with key contacts at accounts, building long term relationships.
  2. Sales planning and promotion of major appliances, home comfort, and small appliances including floor care with major retail accounts.
  3. Develops and implements long-term sales strategies, to grow sales and drive profitability. Regularly meets with all stakeholders to identify long-term and short-term needs and develops plans to deliver key metrics. Must stay abreast of industry trends to understand account needs and positioning.
  4. Coordinates the involvement of cross-functional teams, including marketing, service and Midea leadership, to meet account performance objectives and deliver results to customers’ expectations.
  5. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales and drives strategic objectives. Forecasts and tracks key account metrics.
  6. Extensively communicates with key stakeholders and influencers at every level of the customer’s organization. Coordinates and delivers sales presentations, effectively utilizing available resources. Promotes, sells, and secures business for both existing and new products.
  7. Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  8. Other Duties as Assigned.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
  2. 5+ years Account Management & Retail Sales experience in the Canadian market, focusing on major appliances, home comfort, and/or small appliances including floor care preferred.
  3. Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational skills, including forecasting and planning techniques.
  4. Strong communication skills – written, verbal and excellent presentation skills.
  5. Results-oriented with a strong willingness to strive for “beyond-expectations” performance.
  6. Must be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  7. High-level problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  8. Being conscientious, organized, responsible, ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  9. Ability to lift up to 30 Lbs (Occasionally) and travel regularly (Canada Domestic, occasionally US & China).
