What is the opportunity?

In this role you will lead a team of Mortgage Specialists in the Saskatchewan North marketto achieve business results through sales andmarket management, implementation of strategic direction, and representation in the respective marketplace. You will also work andcollaborate with your Branch partners and Regional Sales Teams to implement strategies, processes, and disciplines to achieve sustainable earnings and revenue growth through the sales force.As a people manager, you will strive to develop an effective, adaptable sales force to maximize revenue and productivity opportunities. Part of this work will be to champion sales management practices and to enhance the employee capability/engagement as well as the customer loyalty while leveraging full RBC capabilities including branches, alternate delivery channels and service partners.

What will you do?

  • Achieve profitable sales targets by providing leadership, direction and ongoing coaching to a Mortgage Specialist team, building employee engagement through focused sales routines.
  • You will recruit and grow a team of Mortgage Specialists to focus on client acquisition, building profitable relationships to achieve revenue goals
  • You will cultivate local business opportunities through the development of relationships within the community and centres of influence.
  • You will collaborate with branch/regional teams in the implementation of strategies. Championing sales management practices to achieve a superior client experience, profitable business growth, business retention and productivity.
  • Leverage full RBC capabilities and partner with branches, alternate delivery channels and service partners to achieve RBC’s business goals

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • A minimum of 3 years in sales and people management experience that showcases a proven track record of success
  • A strong working knowledge of the mortgage origination business and home financing products
  • Business acumen and the ability to assess local market conditions and respond appropriately
  • Proven success in collaboration while driving business growth as well as establishing community and client relationships
  • Possess well entrenched real estate partnerships and knowledge of the real estate community. You should have a current extensive network of centres of influence
  • Working knowledge of personal banking products and risk management guidelines
  • Extensive experience with credit and Home Equity Financing knowledge

Nice-to-have

  • Planning, implementation and change management experience
  • Presentation and organizational skills
  • Previous experience as a mortgage lender
  • Completion of a post-secondary education program
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs
