Job description

Join us on our journey to improve patient lives through our clinic network, direct to patient medical platform and elevated pharmaceutical grade medical cannabis products. With improved medical cannabis education, patient access, support and community connection, we can reduce stigmas together and help more patients and healthcare practitioners discover the benefits of cannabinoid-based medications.

MediPharm Labs is seeking a proven management professional, who has a demonstrated history of success contributing to growth objectives in medical cannabis, through strengthening key relationships, developing new partnerships, delivering sales results and impactful marketing activation plans.

In this role, the candidate will connect with healthcare practitioners, medical clinics, insurance providers, B2B partners and advocacy groups to develop new connections, strengthen current partner relations and grow our community of referrers and medical patients. They will also contribute to our medical cannabis sales and patient satisfaction through the development of digital marketing, event and outreach programs.

The Manager, Medical will report directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing and key responsibilities will be:

  1. Contributing to the development of and executing on the medical sales and marketing strategy.
  2. Identifying and securing new medical sales and partnership opportunities nationally, to expand our network of healthcare practitioners, clinics and patient community.
  3. Managing key relationships, to ensure timely communication and high service levels.
  4. Development of marketing programs and medical sales initiatives to drive awareness, patient appointment bookings, customer growth, sales and retention.
  5. Championing our patients and partners internally, providing ongoing clinic, HCP and patient feedback to the team and working collaboratively with cross-functional peers to continue to improve our product offering and patient and clinic partner experience.
  6. Executing B2B and direct to patient email marketing plans.
  7. Contributing to eCommerce roadmap and managing digital feature requests and shop merchandising.
  8. Deeply understanding relevant disease states, patient landscape and partner needs to collaborate with our Brand Manager and design team on patient-centric, insight driven education and marketing materials.
  9. Representing our organizations via online and live events to educate on our medical products and services.
  10. Staying ahead of industry and competitive trends to inform our strategic approach, identifying new challenges and opportunities.
  11. Ongoing review and comprehension of the regulatory framework and relevant changes.

Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business Administration or Marketing and Communications idea
  2. Minimum 5 years of management experience, leading teams and projects from initiation to final execution
  3. Experience in the cannabis, health care or pharmaceutical space are an asset
  4. Previous experience managing customer relationships and B2B and B2C sales
  5. Exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship management skillset
  6. Engaging and confident public speaker, accustomed to presenting to a wide range of stakeholders
  7. Strong cannabis product knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework
  8. Adept growth marketer with strong digital knowledge and ability to lead SEO, SEM, email marketing and eCommerce initiatives
