We are searching for a Manager of Marketing and Digital Engagement to join our marketing team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Manager of Marketing and Digital Engagement is part of the Brand Team, a dynamic group of professionals who collaborate to inspire meaningful experiences through strategic and brand-aligned content. Operating as an in-house agency for Shannex, the Brand Team provides subject matter expertise, leadership, and creative services in marketing communications, sales, and service excellence. Our work supports every operating division across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Ontario.

As the successful candidate, you are a subject matter expert in campaign planning and management (including trafficking assets to vendors and overseeing reporting), digital journey mapping, CRM / CMS, marketing automation, and conversion measurement. You think beyond paid advertising and take an integrated approach to optimizing user experiences with earned, shared, and owned content. About the Opportunity

  • Develop and lead campaigns, projects, and activities to support marketing, sales, employer branding, and business objectives (including corporate, regional, and site-specific initiatives)
  • Manage agency partner relationships, projects, and deliverables
  • Provide data and reporting to enhance plans and creative strategies
  • Oversee the annual digital audit process, ensuring content consistency and accuracy aligned with marketing points of differentiation
  • Work with internal and external content contributors to optimize and ensure best practices across web platforms (brand voice, differentiation, market positioning, SEO), including continuous improvement projects involving content and website development
  • Use CRM tools and analytics to understand traffic flow and content efficacy, nurturing relationships with current and future residents, loved ones, and team members
  • Manage the creation, testing, and deployment of automated messaging and pathways, leveraging automation for timely, well-crafted content
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen our brands within the team and organization
  • Proactively seek incremental improvements, optimizing existing frameworks, and thinking creatively to deliver the best digital experience

About You

In addition to valuing continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability, you bring:

  • 5-7 years of progressive marketing or agency experience with success in campaign planning, management, CRM/CMS, information architecture, marketing automation, audience segmentation, user experience, and data analysis/reporting
  • Experience with digital campaigns, agency collaboration, copywriting, usability testing, social media, content management, accessibility standards, and Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation
  • A curious, compassionate, and collaborative approach to understanding priorities, conveying recommendations, and building relationships through information sharing
  • Expertise in developing integrated marketing and digital engagement strategies leveraging paid, earned, shared, and owned media; ability to present strategies to gain support
  • Understanding of how different media types support lead generation, engagement, and visitor experiences
