Our client, a Top 5 bank in Canada is looking to hire a Manager, Marketing Communications team for an initial 12-month contract with a high possibility of extension and conversion.This role is 5 days a month in the office in downtown Toronto.
- Campaign Strategy and Execution : Develop and deliver strategic direct marketing campaigns for credit cards, ensuring alignment with business goals and revenue targets.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Cards Engagement & Retention, Product, Digital, Database Marketing) and external vendors (e.g., marketing agencies, media partners) to manage deliverables and creative development.
- Creative Development and Compliance : Oversee the creative process, ensuring adherence to CIBC's brand guidelines and securing necessary internal approvals, including legal and compliance reviews.
- Budget Optimization : Manage the allocated marketing budget effectively, optimizing channels to maximize marketing ROI and support business growth.
- Performance Analytics and Reporting : Utilize analytics to measure campaign success, derive insights, and incorporate results-driven learning into future initiatives for continuous improvement.

Must-Have Skills :
- 1+ years' experience managing creative and marketing communications processes for all mediums including direct and interactive (Marketing Project Management)
- 1+ years' financial services experience including knowledge of retail banking products. Credit Cards experience is ideal.
- Without this experience it is a steep learning curve. If they have agency experience but no cc, this will work
- Email marking experience producing client-facing communications
- Experience managing budgets (Ensuring all costs come into estimate)
- Undergraduate degree - preferably Marketing unless they have equivalent related experience.
Nice to Have :
- 3+ years of experience working with an agency on creative.
- Copy writing experience / familiarity
