Job summary

Canadian Hearing Services seeks a Manager, Marketing to lead end-to-end campaigns for for-profit products and services. You will drive digital and traditional marketing, CRM integration, and data-driven optimization.

The role partners with Creative Services, Brand Communications, and external agencies, while overseeing a small marketing team in a fast-paced environment. You will focus on client-centric strategies for Deaf and hard of hearing communities.

Qualifications

  • College diploma/university degree in business with focus on marketing, digital marketing, communications, or advertising.
  • Minimum 5-6 years progressive marketing experience with above-the-line and digital campaigns.
  • Knowledge of hearing healthcare market is a plus.
  • Experience with email marketing, CRM, data mining, segmentation, and database marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Support the VP, Digital and Brand Marketing’s strategy and ops plans to increase brand awareness and revenue.
  • Develop and execute marketing programs across interpreting, assistive devices, OTC products and services.
  • Liaise with regional offices, internal programs, and external partners to meet marketing needs.
  • Leverage customer research and data analytics to optimize campaigns.
  • Cultivate relationships with internal teams and external partners for media opportunities.
  • Collaborate with web/CRM teams to ensure best-in-class web and e-commerce experience.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across digital and print channels.
  • Reinforce professional style, tone, and identity in all marketing efforts.

Job description

Reporting to the Vice-President, Digital and Brand Marketing, the Manager, Marketing will be accountable for the execution and measurement of all marketing campaigns supporting the for-profit products and services of CHS. The Marketing team will be accountable to deliver the core KPIs of the products and services, and will leverage market intelligence, robust customer and client analytics and marketing best practices in order to design campaigns that hit the targets and deliver strong ROI.

Working with their team, and in partnership with other areas of marketing such as Creative Services, Brand Communications or the external digital media or website agency, the Manager, Marketing will ensure the delivery of best-in-class marketing communications to support end-to-end campaigns that effectively leverage the earned, owned and paid channels.

We are seeking a results-oriented marketer with demonstrated traditional above-the-line and digital marketing expertise leveraging a combination of tradition local community tactics, digital media, customer marketing funnel, email, CRM, ecomm and optimizing between these channels, based on response and ROI.

The Manager, Marketing will have some experience with database management, CRM platforms and MarTech, and has technical and operational experience and skills to support client and customer relationships effectively and proactively.

A strong team player, we are seeking someone who is focused on putting the client at the centre of everything they do, and who takes an interest in understanding the unique needs of CHS clients who come from the Deaf and hard of hearing communities. We are looking for someone who can handle a fast-paced environment, with a proven ability to prioritize well when faced with competing deadlines.

The Manager, Marketing must be:
  • A KPI-focused manager who is revenue and results oriented, and analytical, always seeking to apply external and internal learning to optimize marketing and communication campaigns
  • Has knowledge of digital marketing & CRM including experience with a range of technology and platforms, the customer funnel and journey and has experience optimizing communications across the paid, owned and earned channels, to most efficiently hit KPIs
  • Manages campaigns and supports a small team who can deliver best-in-class marketing, communications and campaigns into the market
Qualifications include excellent abilities to:
  • Support the Vice President, Digital and Brand Marketing’s marketing strategy and business operational plans by implementation, coordination, and measurement of marketing plans/tactics to increase brand awareness and drive hearing aid clients through the customer marketing funnel to purchase hearing aids at the retail hearing aid clinics.
  • Developing and executing marketing programs to drive awareness and revenue targets in the interpreting, assistive communication device and OTC products and programs.
  • Liaise and collaborate with regional audiology offices, the communications device program, and other internal programs and departments to assist in identifying and meeting their marketing needs
  • Leverages customer research and database analytics
  • Develop, cultivate and manage relationships with internal teams and external partners in order to understand and effectively leverage community, print and digital advertising opportunities
  • Forge relationships with key hearing healthcare industry vendors and stakeholders (e.g. hearing aid manufacturers, associations, etc.)
  • Support the development and work with a web / CRM team, in partnership with external and internal teams to ensure a best-in-class web and e-commerce experience which includes issues management, and oversight of content creation
  • Ensure that marketing initiatives and campaigns reflect consistent messaging in keeping with CHS brand essence, standards, purpose, and intent
  • Help reinforce a consistent professional style, tone, and identity in all digital and print marketing efforts to strengthen corporate public profile
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
  • College diploma/university degree in business with focus on marketing, digital marketing, communications, or advertising
  • Minimum 5-6 years progressive marketing experience with a particular focus developing and executing above-the-line traditional and digital marketing integrated campaigns to support revenue targets
  • Knowledge of hearing aids/the hearing healthcare retail market would be a significant asset
  • Experience with search engine optimization best practices, website content management, and user-centric web design
  • Proficiency in web analytics and reporting tools, internet metrics, analysis, and delivery processes
  • Experience in best-in-class practices in email marketing, CRM, data mining, customer segmentation, and database marketing
  • Ideally has experience using website Drupal, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, SurveyMonkey or equivalent and comparable platforms, and other digital tools
  • Ability to think outside the box, creative and be a critical thinker to help support the development of marketing plans and campaigns
  • Experienced marketer, with track record of managing small teams and partnering with team members to optimize skills, and motivating team members to produce their best for common business goals
  • Exceptional ability to develop interpersonal relationships, foster teamwork, and negotiate in a diverse and fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Strong written communication skills are required; French is an asset
