About the Opportunity

Reporting to and in conjunction with the Director of Rehabilitative, Seniors and Long-Term Care EZ, and working alongside the Taigh Na Mara Facility Manager, the Manager of Resident Care, Taigh Na Mara EZ plans, develops, implements, coordinates, evaluates and manages all activities and resources of a coordinated and integrated seniors program for Taigh Na Mara Facility, Eastern Zone.

The seniors program operates based on evidence, using population health approach addressing identified health needs of the zone while promoting relationships within NSH, various communities, and external interest groups. The Manager collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient program delivery. The Manager is involved in the development and management of intersectoral service delivery programs in the Eastern Zone.

The Manager ensures that the principle and practices that guide NSH such as the vision, mission, values, expected behaviors, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are visible at the front line and within daily activities.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Baccalaureate degree related to healthcare or management is required.
  • Current designation with relevant professional association; Social Work, Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy, Nursing, etc.
  • Master’s degree related to healthcare or management is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years recent related experience, including at least two (2) years’ experience in a formal leadership role with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource, partnerships and financial management.
  • Experience with seniors, LTC and Continuing Care sectors is required.

  • Temporary, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Bi-Weekly
  • Approximately 12 months (assignment length subject to change)
Compensation and Benefits

$43.79 - $58.19 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
