The incumbent is a member of the Mountain Maintenance team. The Manager, Lift and Attractions Maintenance, sets the cultural tone that creates memorable guest experiences while uniting their team around purpose and fun.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
  • Coordinate and oversee inspection, maintenance, and documentation of all lifts and attractions to maximize uptime.
  • Plan, develop, and execute training for all team members focusing on safety, process standards, and developing Apprentice Lift and Amusement Device Mechanics.
  • Implement and utilize an Enterprise Asset Management system for all lift and attraction infrastructure.
  • Create and execute a multi-year Lift Refurbishment Prioritization and Capital Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with TSSA and Z98 standards and codes.
  • Understand the 5-year Strategic Plan; execute annual tactics in collaboration with the Director; communicate results and changes.
  • Contribute to annual departmental budgets; ensure expenses, labor, and revenues meet targets; train and communicate budget requirements to team leaders.
  • Contribute to, execute, and communicate Business Unit Plans.
  • Ensure appropriate resources and develop training and communication for departmental service delivery that creates memorable guest experiences and achieves OKRs.
  • Promote and participate in programming and training that unites employees around purpose and fun, leading to high engagement and retention.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration across departments to achieve the company's mission and targets.
  • Ensure compliance with legislated requirements, policies, and safety documentation, exceeding minimum standards.
  • Participate in the selection of subordinate leaders and front-line team members.
  • Represent Blue Mountain with external organizations, consultants, suppliers, customers, and special-interest groups as needed.
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?
  • Practical knowledge in developing, leading, and executing processes.
  • Advanced knowledge and/or technical expertise in their functional area.
  • University degree or equivalent experience plus 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
  • Primary schedule is weekdays, 8:30 am - 5 pm; however, resort operates 24/7, and availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays is required based on business needs.
