Job description

What will be your daily pursuit? :

We are seeking a data-driven, guest-obsessed Lifecycle Marketing & Automation Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of Pursuit’s lifecycle marketing program with a key focus on email and SMS marketing. In this role, you will own guest engagement, retention, and reactivation—leveraging automation, behavioral triggers, AI, and 1:1 personalization to deliver seamless, multi-channel experiences at scale.

This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of leading cross-functional initiatives while executing with precision.

What will you do in this job? :

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and own the lifecycle marketing strategy and deployment with a focus on increasing guest LTV, improving repeat booking rates, and growing brand loyalty.
  • Define audience segmentation strategies and lifecycle stages aligned to customer behaviors and business goals.
  • Build and maintain detailed journey maps for key customer segments across geographies and products.

Campaign & Automation Leadership

  • Design, deploy, and optimize omnichannel lifecycle programs—with a focus on email and SMS—and collaborate on strategies and deployment for in-app messaging and web personalization.
  • Leverage AI and machine learning tools to deliver dynamic, hyper-personalized content at scale—tailoring recommendations, messaging, and offers to individual travelers in real time.
  • Utilize our CDP, CRM, and behavioral data to develop and deploy advanced segmentation, delivering on 1:1 guest experiences.

Data & Optimization

  • Build and manage continuous optimization through structured A/B and multivariate testing across all lifecycle touchpoints.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance and lifecycle KPIs, providing regular performance insights and revenue reports.
  • Maintain best practices for email deliverability, including list hygiene, authentication, and reputation management.

Technology & Tools

  • Act as a subject matter expert on marketing automation platforms and tools.
  • Maintain scalable templates and reusable workflows for rapid iteration, localization, and 1:1 content delivery.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with creative, content, CRM, and external agencies to ensure campaign alignment and consistency.
  • Lead the strategic roadmap for Lifecycle Marketing and oversee team coaching and professional development.

What skills and experience do you need for this job? :

  • 5+ years in lifecycle CRM, marketing automation, or retention roles—experience in global travel/tourism is a plus.
  • Proven success managing complex, data-driven automation and email programs at scale.
  • Proficiency with platforms such as Braze, Klaviyo, Iterable, SFMC, or similar.
  • Strong technical skills in HTML/CSS and data analytics.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills; experience with global teams.
  • Understanding of privacy laws like CASL, GDPR, etc.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Must possess a valid Passport and Driver’s License.
  • Passion for creating seamless digital travel experiences.
