Job Summary

The Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for planning, overseeing, and executing learning programs and initiatives that enhance organizational skills, capabilities, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop learning content using instructional design principles and models such as ADDIE, for both face-to-face and online courses.
  • Manage internal instructional design projects, collaborate with external partners and SMEs to create engaging content including videos, photos, audio, tests, quizzes, and interactive activities.
  • Develop curricula to support an exceptional employee experience and a comprehensive onboarding program.
  • Design and facilitate leadership and frontline workshops focused on service excellence, retail, and customer experience.
  • Support multi-level organizational training through workshop design and facilitation.
  • Serve as the program manager for enterprise-wide content initiatives.
  • Consult on technical design and implementation of courses and programs to meet employee needs.
  • Analyze learning needs and styles to develop comprehensive learning solutions.
  • Utilize data to guide and improve learning concept design aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
  • Hospitality experience in restaurants or hotels is desirable.
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing learning content across multiple platforms, including mobile.
  • Experience deploying and sustaining learning projects into production.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate, Moodle, Camtasia, or similar.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, gamification, and micro-learning.
  • Strong skills in MS Office, WebEx, Teams, and similar technologies.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills at all organizational levels.
  • Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and travel up to 20%.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
