And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

The opportunity

As a DevOps Manager at EY, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technical infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure systems that meet the needs of our clients. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement across our software development and operations teams. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and methodologies, you will enhance our operational efficiencies, reduce time-to-market for new solutions, and uphold the highest standards of security and compliance.

Your key responsibilities

  1. Lead implementation of automation tools and processes to support continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and cloud operations.
  2. Collaborate with software development, QA, and IT operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of high-quality software.
  3. Develop and implement strategies for migration to the cloud, containerization, and microservices architecture.
  4. Oversee the design and management of CI/CD pipelines and toolchains.
  5. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by conducting regular reviews and incorporating feedback into process improvements.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and security guidelines.
  7. Monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance and scalability of systems.
  8. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the firm.
  9. Provide support for code change and code repository management.
  10. Provide solutions using AI in DevOps like GitHub CoPilot.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a DevOps Lead/Manager or in a similar leadership role within IT or software development environments.
  3. 5+ years of experience in DevOps skills, creating, managing, and maintaining cloud-based production systems.
  4. 5+ years of Kubernetes and/or Container Orchestration experience including writing and developing Helm.
  5. 5+ years of working with a public cloud (Microsoft Azure preferred, but AWS or GCP are acceptable).
  6. Key skills include deployment and automation of packages for cloud and on-prem-based systems, ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS and related production systems.
  7. Hands-on experience on Alert mechanism, Production Support cycle, and Tooling implementation.
  8. Worked closely with software development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle, enhancing collaboration and communication.
  9. Experience in CI/CD DevOps tooling like Jenkins, ArgoCD etc.
  10. Drive automation initiatives to streamline operations, reduce manual tasks, and improve efficiency through scripting and configuration management tools.
  11. Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  12. Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset.
  13. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
