Department Overview:

As part of Operations Support Services within Enterprise Operations Enablement, the Knowledge Management (KM) team serves as a Center of Excellence (COE) for content management. It supports IGM Operations and collaborates with other divisions to establish best practices and governance frameworks for knowledge and content management.

The KM domain is becoming increasingly sophisticated, driven by the evolving capabilities of AI and the advancement of content management systems. These technologies are integrated across all phases of content governance - including curation, editing, approval and monitoring, enhancing functionality and strategy.

Position Overview:

This position is instrumental in aligning knowledge management practices with business priorities and operational strategies. The role is ideal for a solution-oriented professional with deep expertise in Knowledge Management and a strong technical acumen.

It involves day-to-day support of content governance, continuous improvement of content management systems (Sierra), and the development of processes that enhance operational efficiency and employee enablement.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Curation and Editing - Provide guidance to IGM Operations in curating content to ensure alignment of quality standards. Leverages data and analytics to assess content performance and recommend improvements to increase user engagement. Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure content meets established standards.
  • Management of Content Management System (CMS) - Responsible for the management and maintenance of the CMS platform. Advise on and implement best practices in information architecture, taxonomy development and user permissions. Offer guidance and direction to content stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective use of the CMS.
  • Trends and Technologies – Stays informed on trends and technologies in knowledge and content management. Ensures alignment with industry best practices and divisional goals to enhance the user experience.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Strategic Content Planning - Establish strong relationships with content stakeholders to ensure KM content strategies are aligned with business priorities. Provide KM consulting, offering tailored advice and actionable recommendations to business partners. Represent the KM function as a SME on cross-department working groups and projects.
  • Collaboration & Facilitation - Facilitate communities of practice to uncover business needs and opportunities. Deliver training sessions on content management tools, and best practices. Translate KM concepts into clear, actionable guidance that resonates with diverse stakeholder groups.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Technical Communication, Knowledge Management or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in content editing, creation, technical writing or content strategy
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in Content Management Systems, such as SharePoint, Confluence, or Adobe Experience Manager, including workflow and publishing processes
  • Functional knowledge of HTML and web publishing standards
  • Ability to analyze content performance using tools such as Adobe Analytics
  • Exceptional command of the English language, with strong writing, and copy-editing skills
  • Excellent verbal and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, user-friendly concepts
  • Strong problem- solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred but not required
