We are currently looking for a bilingual Manager, Investment Accounting who will play a central role in supporting our growth.
About the Position
You will be responsible for supporting the activities of the investment teams, including the production of financial information related to investments, such as external and internal reports, preparation of ad hoc analyses for senior management, and supervision of regulatory or continuous improvement projects.
You will participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, ensure the maintenance of robust internal controls, and play an active role in transforming and centralizing financial information on our investments worldwide.
What you’ll do here:
Responsible for the financial closing process, including system flows, controls, and timely review of results with the highest level of quality.
Responsible for the external financial information related to investment results, including the financial statements of the Group and various legal entities, the management report, and regulatory reporting. Responsible for the internal financial information related to investment results.
Coordinate work with external auditors.
Responsible for implementing any new or modified accounting standards and/or significant transactions.
Work closely with other Finance teams (management control, accounting research) to integrate our investment results into global reports.
Continuously aim for improvement, automation, and integration of reporting on our investments.
Influence the results of special projects impacting the team.
What you bring to the table:
CPA – is required (CFA will be considered).
Strong knowledge in Reporting Process and establishing key controls – is required.
Minimum 5-years experience financial reporting, financial analysis or relevant experience – is required.
Minimum 2-years experience leading direct reports (including performance management and career development).
Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities. Leadership skills, teamwork, independence, and proactivity.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to persuade, influence, and motivate from a wide variety of functional experiences.
Bilingualism (French & English) is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking and French-speaking colleagues across the country.
