Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As Manager, Investigations Operational Functions and Support, you will assist in supporting the Senior Manager in the maintenance and development of governance documents, reporting and issue tracking for Investigations. You will also work alongside the Senior Manager with internal partners and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues faced by investigations.

What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain documents used by Investigations.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and feedback, to ensure quality documentation is produced, which aligns with internal expectations
  • Review any identified issues and assist in determining root-causes or potential impacts, and escalate to Senior Manager for follow up and or escalation, when necessary
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of Community Connect pages
  • Make recommendations on new processes, tools and services that can impact multiple projects and other work areas
  • Prepare solutions to identify potential roadblocks raised by others in response to recommendations
  • Accountable for keeping abreast of changes in financial crimes and related legislation and regulation affecting RBC’s activities and operations

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 2+ years of experience
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills, including MS Visio
  • Attention to detail skills must be exceptional
  • Extensive organization skills
  • Advanced written communication skills (with a focus on grammar, sentence structure and syntax)
  • Ability to work independently, with little to no oversight or guidance on day-to-day expectations
  • Regularly exercise independent judgment of matters of significance within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions/approaches
  • Demonstrate initiative and apply concepts, while exercising effective interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Undergraduate degree

Nice-to-have

  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation
  • AML Investigation experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Investigations and related processes
  • Ability to create macros in Word and Excel
