Join to apply for the Manager, Insights & Analytics role at High Liner Foods

The Manager of Foodservice Insights and Analytics will be responsible for unearthing consumer, customer, and category insights that will inspire innovative and strategic thinking in the business. Leveraging hindsight, insight, and foresight, the Insights Manager will build concise stories with actionable business recommendations to unlock new opportunities across our core portfolio and with our customer partners. The successful candidate will guide cross-functional partners within the organization to make data-driven decisions based on consumer, customer, and market trends. This role will primarily support US and Canada Foodservice, specifically National Accounts, and will also involve working with the Insights Director on primary qualitative and quantitative research, including concept testing and operator interviews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leverage multiple data sources to tell a holistic story linking consumer and operator insights, market trends, and portfolio solutions for Foodservice customer partners.
  • Develop foresight on growth trends in the Foodservice landscape and Seafood industry using custom and syndicated data sources.
  • Participate in annual strategic planning, providing insights on category and company growth, share targets, and market trends to inform marketing strategies.
  • Present insights and recommendations confidently to management and Foodservice customers across North America.
  • Stay informed on FS consumer, operator, and menu trends from key suppliers and share updates with marketing, sales, and product development teams.
  • Proficient in Foodservice data tools such as Datassential, Circana SupplyTrack, Circana CREST, Technomic, CRC, and others.
  • Present at key Foodservice meetings on business results and trends.
  • Understand various research methodologies (focus groups, ethnography, segmentation, concept testing, etc.) and translate research briefs into actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain internal reporting, quarterly reviews, and ad hoc analyses for internal teams and leadership.
  • Co-lead quarterly and year-end business reviews with sales and marketing leaders on industry trends and company performance.
  • Maintain Foodservice Insights SharePoint and facilitate data sharing across the organization.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, account/category management, or primary research.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency with syndicated data and panel metrics (Circana SupplyTrack, CREST, etc.).
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative consumer research methodologies.
  • Decision-making capabilities and a track record of successful strategy implementation.
  • Experience in presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Vendor and customer relationship management experience.
  • Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the Foodservice CPG industry.
  • Storytelling skills and ability to derive insights from data and research.
  • Experience with consumer-led innovation processes.
  • Knowledge of analytics principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Ability to identify industry, consumer, and customer trends for strategic planning.
