Overview

The purpose of the Information Security Automation Specialist role is to ensure sound delivery of technical projects, systems, and services for the GSOC.

The Information Security Automation Specialist will be responsible for customization, maintenance and support of various security monitoring platforms and provide a mixture of project delivery, system integration, maintenance, and support around the GSOC platforms including Microsoft Azure Sentinel and Microsoft Defender security suite.

This role will be part of a team working in a fast-paced environment driving performance, reliability and supporting the GSOC tools and infrastructure hosted on Physical and Cloud platforms delivering SOC services.

What you will do
  • SOAR Playbook Development, Programming new API Integrations, developing new automation tasks and maintenance.
  • Responsible for installation, management, maintenance, and support of GSOC tools hosted on multiple environments including physical Data Centres, Azure public cloud and O365.
  • Co-ordinate with various vendors, other KPMG teams and business stakeholders on work related to design and setup activities at different stages of a technical project.
  • Compile and maintain the necessary documentation of all system designs, builds and modifications.
  • Monitor systems, identify/resolve issues, prepare status reviews and reports.
  • Manage support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow-ups are done in a timely manner.
What you bring to the role
  • Must have minimum 4+ years hands on experience with modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science/engineering/numerical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • An Information or Cyber Security qualification is preferred but not essential: CompTIA, CISSP, CISSM, CISMP, GIAC, CEH, or equivalent.
  • Must have experience with RESTful APIs, including development.
  • Must be able to document processes and procedures to a professional level.
  • Working in an operational role with strict SLAs.
