Job summary

Interior Health Authority in British Columbia is seeking a permanent full-time Manager, Information Privacy who will drive meaningful changes in healthcare privacy programs. You will lead cross-functional teams, set strategic direction, and ensure compliance with privacy laws across multiple sites.

You will oversee privacy impact assessments, audits, incident handling, and the development of policies and programs, while guiding executives, physicians, and staff on privacy matters to safeguard

Qualifications

• Experience leading privacy program in a complex, multi-site health care environment.
• Strong knowledge of provincial privacy legislation and industry standards.
• Ability to collaborate with senior executives, directors, managers, and clinical staff on privacy matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to executives, management, employees, and physicians on privacy issues and legislation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive privacy programs, policies, and training.
• Lead privacy impact assessments, audits, incident response, and breach investigations.
• Ensure compliance with provincial privacy legislation, government policies, conformance standards, and industry standards.
• Oversee budget planning and reporting for privacy functions and related projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and improve privacy controls.
