The Manager, Industry Partnerships oversees the university's external industry relationships and job development strategies. The role involves expanding work-integrated learning and career education, building networks, and fostering collaboration with university and campus partners to maximize industry relationships and enhance York's reputation as a top talent source. Reporting to the Director, Industry Partnerships, the manager leads a team in developing impactful co-op programs, services, resources, and events that support student career goals and reinforce York's brand. The role supports the university's strategic vision, values, and mission, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment that embraces diversity and fosters inclusion.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, psychology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in management.
  • Experience managing a career center or co-op program.
  • Experience in employer engagement, campus recruitment, partnership development, and supporting co-op/WIL programs.
  • Proven ability to establish employer relationships and develop effective partnerships with industry, government, and employers.
  • Experience in business development and managing funding programs related to co-op/WIL employment.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing and communications teams for campaign materials, webinars, conferences, social media, and thought leadership.
  • Public speaking and brand representation skills.
