Job description

Lead vendor relationship management for key lines of business in line with marketing strategies.

Lead line of business strategy, planning and forecasting in coordination with the key accounts group.

Provide line of business technical support and product knowledge / expertise to the sales network.

Scope : Lines of business totaling less than $30 million.

The Role

Drives business development that is consistent with the company’s overall strategy; develops and delivers annual sales targets by line of business and product mix :

Translates strategic objectives provided by the executive leadership team into operational targets and develops business cases and plans to achieve objectives

Communicates an integrated plan and is responsible for coordinating / execution

Responsible for analyzing and assessing the line of business and bringing forward recommendations for new partners, ventures and potential acquisitions

Manages and become key point of contact for line of business vendor tiers :

Assists in the development and management of vendor tiers

Manages line of business pricing guidelines, updates and programs

Manages supporting marketing initiatives, trade programs

Works with Finance to support vendor terms (payment, discounts, rebates etc.)

Provides technical support by line of business by product line to WIC sales network, including support to key accounts and regional accounts

Partners and collaborates with sales management team and other business functions to successfully drive new business opportunities

Works with sales associates in an assigned territory to help identify sales opportunities which contribute to line of business and product line growth

Provides day to day guidance for services provided to the regions (ex. pursuit management and strategic projects support)

Develops and leads product training initiatives by line of business for primary product lines

Responsible for monitoring competitive environment, industry trends and best practices, and sharing insights with other line of business development teams

Liaises with other business development managers to identify cross selling opportunities and leverage best practices

Collaborates with key account management to ensure seamless relationship management during and after the initial sale; develops compelling sales presentations relating to line of business and products to support priority accounts

Required Qualifications

Work Experience : Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a management position or equivalent business experience, including business forecasting / planning / strategy
