Job description

Are you a highly organized, results-driven professional with a passion for optimizing processes and ensuring compliance? We're looking for a Manager, Incentive Compensation Strategy & Operations Compliance to join our Global Incentive Compensation Design & Strategy team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring our compensation plans are not only effective but also seamlessly operationalized and compliant, ultimately contributing to accurate and timely payments for our employees.

What You'll Do

You'll be the driving force behind our operational excellence, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. This isn't just about maintaining current processes; it's about innovating and building for the future. You'll connect in the Toronto office 3 days a week.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Process Optimization & Compliance: Drive the evolution of our incentive compensation processes, ensuring they are accurate, scalable, and SOX compliant. You'll identify inefficiencies, proactively solve problems with automated and compliant solutions, and develop future-state enhancements.

  • System & Tool Development: Lead the development and enhancement of our compensation plan design documentation tools. This involves understanding our end-to-end compensation ecosystem, identifying areas for improvement, and communicating system requirements to cross-functional partners to drive standardization and efficiency.

  • Project Management: Oversee critical operational milestones, ensuring on-time execution with a strong sense of urgency. You'll represent the Design team, build strong relationships internally and externally, and proactively address potential roadblocks.

  • SOX & Risk Management: Execute SOX controls diligently and partner with our SOX 360 team to ensure both current and proposed processes and systems are compliant. You'll identify key points of risk within the SOX landscape and implement controls to mitigate them.

  • Metrics & Reporting: Develop and report key metrics internally to provide insights for the Design team and externally to leadership, demonstrating the impact of our initiatives. You'll also manage the collection and reporting of data for quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and ad-hoc analysis.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement: Partner and influence cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Finance, Operations, HR) to drive process and system solutions. You'll develop easy-to-understand playbooks and deliver effective presentations and demos to enable business users.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a self-starter with exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities. You're curious, driven to improve processes, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in project management, consulting (management, process improvement, or SOX), or a related field.

    • Strong background in process improvement, IT SOX, and/or accounting/finance.

    • Familiarity with how software companies go-to-market and an understanding of different sales roles (e.g., SDRs, AEs, Specialists, Customer Success).

    • Experience with Salesforce as a workflow tool (administration experience is a plus).

    • Knowledge of incentive plan structures (quotas, accelerators, pay mix, on-target earnings).

    • Demonstrated ability to improve efficiency and scale business processes through technology and process improvement methodologies.

  • Skills:
    • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to structure complex problems and develop effective solutions.

    • Strong attention to detail, with an audit background being a significant asset.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information for diverse audiences.

    • Proficiency in financial modeling or Excel, with experience in executive dashboards or related financial reporting.

    • Analytical mindset, adept at illustrating trends through metrics and data.

    • A willingness to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement through change and new ideas.

    • Ability to prioritize trust above all else to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.

  • Mindset:
    • Results-Oriented: Able to define goals and metrics, develop actionable plans, and manage work to achieve desired outcomes with a strong sense of urgency.

    • Change-Oriented: Works effectively in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid change, maintaining a positive outlook.

    • Collaborative: Builds trusted partnerships with all internal stakeholders and effectively influences cross-functional teams.
