We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, I.S. to join our dynamic team at Mississauga, ON - Canada.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of technology solutions that support Nissan’s business objectives. This role oversees project execution, vendor coordination, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure and application initiatives. The manager will lead internal teams and external partners to drive operational excellence, innovation, and alignment with enterprise standards. The role manages a team of individuals whose primary objectives are application development, maintenance and customer relationship management for Nissan Canada Finance Captive and Nissan Motor Acceptance Company (NMAC) Lending Systems (Originations, Servicing etc.)

A Day in the Life:

• Manage and maintain the product in‑take process, ensure resources assigned to highest impact/benefit initiatives, and ensure status of prioritization and product portfolio is well communicated to management and staff. Ensure successful delivery of product initiatives based on business approved roadmap.
• Manage technology outsource vendor relationships. Develop agreements, objectives, SLAs and manage vendors to ensure efficient and cost‑effective use of resources and services.
• Participates/Initiate in business process reengineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participates in annual budget planning process, understand all costs (product roadmap, software, maintenance, etc.), manage and develop initiatives to reduce costs and budget. Additionally ensure product and operations costs are properly governed.
• Ensure solutions and architecture is well thought out, meets standard, approved by enterprise review board, provides high availability, uses standard hardware & software, and maximize regional/global reuse & supportability.
• Ensures applications under span of control adhere to cyber security standards, technology standards, processes and policies.
• Strategy: For the business unit and/or technology area, you support, understand the business strategy, and align the required project portfolio, initiatives and budget to support it. This includes alignment with regional and global strategies as well.
• Roadmap: For the business unit and/or technology area you support, establish the plan, timing an order of initiatives that support the business strategy/initiatives, maintains current levels of hardware/software, plans and supports cloud migration of core systems and accounts for changes in regulations, information security.
• Management Accountabilities: Manage internal staff, external contractors, vendor resources and/or offshore resources. Supervise and provide leadership, coaching, guidance, training and staff development. Interviews and select unit employees. Plan and evaluate employee performance. Recommends merit increases, transfers and promotions. Coach and address employee performance as necessary. Manage career development plans and succession planning.
• Support diversity and inclusion. Ensure all employees’ opinions are valued equally.

Who We’re Looking for:

Job Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of vendor management, contract management, customer relationship management; project management skills; strong working knowledge of automotive business systems; oral and written communications skills; interpersonal skills; and conflict resolution skills.

Years of Experience:

• Seven or more years of IS/IT experience, or related experience.
• Supervisory Experience: Five or more years directly, or indirectly, managing technical delivery teams and/or projects.
• Experience in leading delivery teams such as Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers, etc.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or equivalent. Technology, Management

• Cloud Practitioner certification is an asset.

Salary Range:

$110,032.00 - $137,665.00

This compensation range represents the minimum to midpoint base salary rates at Nissan for jobs assigned to this particular grade level. Please note that an employee’s base salary may occasionally be set above the midpoint of the salary band for this grade level, in recognition of the employee’s unique skills, work experience, education, work location, or market conditions. Compensation decisions also consider internal equity and comparisons with the base salary rates of other employees with similar backgrounds working in comparable roles. Note: Bonus, benefits, and other forms of variable compensation are not included in the base‑salary range shown above.
