The Opportunity
This position is based in Ontario within the Diabetes Care Division. We focus on helping people with diabetes manage their health with innovative products that provide accurate data for better decisions. We are revolutionizing glucose monitoring with new sensing technology. The Manager, HTA & Stakeholder Submissions will lead and execute ADC’s submission plans to secure optimal access for our products, ensuring comprehensive dossiers and managing post-submission activities. The role reports to the Senior Manager, HTA & Stakeholder Relations.
What You’ll Do
Market Access & Strategy
- Assess market landscape, standard of care, and value to support pricing and contracting strategies.
- Monitor healthcare policy changes impacting ADC products in Canada.
- Serve as an expert in HTA and reimbursement trends.
Submissions & Reimbursement
- Lead public, private, and HTA submissions.
- Develop and implement access strategies across Canadian markets.
- Translate clinical and economic data into payer messages.
- Maintain competitive pricing and reimbursement strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and represent ADC externally.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Drive market access strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams on access strategies.
- Collaborate with global and local teams to align practices and influence policy.
- Ensure payer perspectives are integrated into development and commercial plans.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with government, payors, providers, and advocacy groups.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure ADC’s value is recognized and supported.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s, PharmD, or PhD preferred.
- At least seven years of experience in Market Access, HTA, Clinical Epidemiology, or related fields within pharma or medical devices.
- Knowledge of Canadian healthcare system, coverage, and reimbursement processes; experience with medical devices preferred.
- Understanding of HTA, evidence-based medicine, clinical studies, and health economics.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- High energy, assertiveness, confidence, and intellectual curiosity.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior management and key stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of statistics, finance, and ROI concepts.
