Job description

As the HR Operations Manager you will serve as a strategic partner to the business, delivering expert advisory and leadership support in workforce and talent planning, and play a critical role in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. Your goal will be to lead a team of HR professionals, serving as both risk managers and problem solvers who can anticipate and address challenges and opportunities affecting your business area. You will be successful collaborating with colleagues across different business lines, and being adept at identifying and raising concerns related to potential risks that could significantly impact our people and HR plans.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the workforce planning process for the business line and partner with the Talent Acquisition team; to develop and support a recruitment plan including the resources to deliver against it, identification of risks and mitigation plans to reduce risk
  • Lead and support the business through organizational change and focuses on improving organizational effectiveness
  • Lead the business through all talent management cycles (i.e. Succession Planning, Workforce Planning, Annual Compensation Planning and Performance Management)
  • Participate in the operational planning processes. Responsible for understanding the Operating Plan for designated business line and develop and execute a supporting Human Resources Operating Plan that focuses on the execution of HR programming and risk reduction, working in tandem with corporate centres
  • Manage and advise on the implications of Human Resource risk to the business line focused on Employee Relations and Legislative/compliance challenges
  • Partner with the business line lead and ensure accountability to the workforce plan to support current and future people needs
  • Partner with the Talent Management team to support and implement all programming related to recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, retention, career pathing, talent development, talent mobility, and leadership development to ensure consistency across operating area.
  • Participate in the annual HR strategic planning process
  • Ensure consistent administration of established HR processes across business lines, actively identifying risks and opportunities utilizing data driven decision making and forecasting using people analytics
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance adherence
