Contribute to the success of the HR Risk and Controls Management team within Global Specialized Human Resources Services. Ensure that individual goals, plans, and initiatives support the team’s strategies and objectives. Maintain compliance with regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  1. Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank systems and knowledge.
  2. Ensure adherence to global HR data governance activities, including governance programs, frameworks, policies, procedures, and quality controls.
  3. Ensure compliance with data protection frameworks, identify potential threats to data privacy, and implement protective measures.
  4. Support operational aspects of the data lifecycle by collaborating with data consumers to define and address critical data quality challenges.
  5. Gather, organize, and ensure the accuracy of data for analysis, decision-making, and compliance.
  6. Lead the consolidation of disparate data and ensure sustainable understanding of data flows across platforms.
  7. Assist data owners in institutionalizing an enhanced understanding of information assets at various levels (aggregate, concept, attribute).
  8. Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
  9. Pursue efficient operations aligned with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
  10. Ensure effective business controls to meet operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk obligations.
  11. Promote a high-performance and inclusive work environment.
