Manager, Health Economics and Market Access

Type : Permanent Position

Location : Montreal - Head Office

Department : Market Access & Public Affairs

Reports To : Associate Director Market Access

Summary of Purpose :

Responsible for creating and executing the reimbursement strategy for the Otsuka portfolio through all product lifecycle stages. Collaborates with global and local teams to assess future Business Development and Life Cycle Management opportunities from an HTA and reimbursement perspective. Works with global groups to address reimbursement challenges for existing and future products.

Responsibilities :

  1. Develops RWE & HEOR strategies to secure and optimize reimbursement with payers.
  2. Collaborates with Canadian and global teams to develop reimbursement plans.
  3. Ensures Canadian needs are communicated and addressed globally.
  4. Supports pricing strategies in line with regulations.
  5. Contributes to Business Development and LCM strategies.
  6. Manages reimbursement processes from submission to maintenance.
  7. Maintains knowledge of Canadian reimbursement review processes.
  8. Identifies new stakeholder engagement opportunities.
  9. Coordinates with internal and external partners to achieve reimbursement goals.
  10. Reports safety, quality, and customer feedback as per procedures.

Qualifications and Key Competencies :

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Economics, Pharmacy, or related field.
  2. MBA is an asset.
  3. At least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in market access.
  4. Experience working with global/US teams for Canadian market adaptation.
  5. Experience with clinical summaries, health economic models, and budget impact analyses.
  6. Knowledge of health economic principles, outcomes research, and pricing.
  7. Strategic thinking with strong business analytics skills.
  8. Ability to analyze competitive intelligence and adapt plans.
  9. Experience in CNS-Mental Health, Nephrology, Digital Medicine is valued.
