The incumbent is a member of the Resort Services Security team. The Manager Guest Safety and Security sets the cultural tone that creates revolutionary guest experiences while uniting their team around purpose and fun.

The purpose of this role is to provide a hands-on and highly visible leadership role in fostering a safe, welcoming, and service-oriented environment for both guests and employees while overseeing all aspects of safety, emergency preparedness, and security operations. The Manager works directly alongside the frontline security team providing guidance, support, and real-time decision-making during daily operations and emergency situations.

• Developing, implementing, and updating emergency procedures, preparation, and communication plan.
• Proven ability to strike a balance between providing excellent service to our guests while enforcing rules to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors and employees of the resort.
• Spending time on the floor, engaging directly with team members, observing operations, and coaching.
• Serving as the liaison between internal departments, external partners, and local emergency services.
• Contributes to annual departmental operating budgets, ensuring expenses, labour scheduling and revenues meet budgeted targets.
• Responsible for coordinator recruitment, training and performance management.
• Promotes, develops, participates and delivers programming and training that unites employees around purpose and fun resulting in high employee engagement, retention and return rates.

• 5+ years of leadership in the safety, security, or emergency management industry, with proven coaching skills, strong employee relations and ability to motivate staff.
• Highly developed communication skills (both oral and written).
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License required; valid Ontario Driver License required.
• Successful completion of First Aid/CPR/AED training required.
• High level knowledge of MS Office suite of products an asset.
• Demonstrated success in fostering a positive employee experience and contributing to a high-quality guest experience.
