The Opportunity

Join the GCS Team and Experience the Frontlines of Global Cybersecurity! Embark on an exciting journey with the GCS team and gain unparalleled exposure to the intricate world of global cybersecurity management. Witness firsthand how we tackle ever-evolving threats and implement layered protections to keep Manulife safe and secure.

Office location: Toronto - Canada (preference), alternatively Waterloo - Canada or Boston - USA;

Work arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days from Home; Remote working arrangement is not available.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify problems and inefficiencies through review of control design / data analysis and propose solutions for resolution or optimization

  • Manage the Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) program

  • Review the adequacy of risk management and internal controls, identify issues, and develop remediation actions.

  • Conduct periodic control tests, report findings to management, propose remediation plans, and raise issues with corrective action plans.

  • Monitor corrective action plans and review evidence from control owners to ensure issues are resolved.

  • Streamline the evidence management processes.Facilitate self-service options when available

  • Faciitate the Issue / CAP creation process.Track CAPs to closure, support closures with adaquest evidence

  • For self-identified issues, draft language and timelines for review and approval


Required Qualifications:

  • Total 8+ years IT industry experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Software of Computer engineering role

  • Experience working in a client-facing, matrix, project-based organization, gained through prior audit, advisory, consulting, professional services firm, or other large organizations.

  • Knowledge of audit methodologies, control frameworks and risk management practices

  • Results oriented with a focus on quality, delivering value, and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • Diligent in maintaining project plans, adhering to timelines, escalating issues appropriately, and documenting outcomes for reporting to senior stakeholders.

  • Experience with using audit procedures to discover, analyze patterns, and identify anomalies

  • Ability to quickly understand business processes and their risk implications, analyze complex situations, reach appropriate conclusions, and make value-added and practical recommendations

Working Arrangement

Salary range is expected to be between

$94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CAD
