General Description of the position :

  • Support our operations in North America by supervising a team of analysts to measure, analyze, and report on manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and inventory management performance.
  • Act as a true business partner to Operations management, developing creative dashboards and KPIs, understanding the business's nature, strategy, and key initiatives.
  • Support projects and new business ventures as we expand into new markets and product lines.
  • Lead change and implement industry best practices and processes to support the group's overall strategy.

Responsibilities and Mission :

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including developing detailed financial models and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Provide insights regarding production performance, variance analysis vs. budget and prior year.
  • Establish a consistent approach across all Canadian sites for tracking operational performance, monitoring efficiency initiatives, standard costs, and inventory valuation.
  • Focus on capacity utilization, line speeds, labor efficiency, yields, overhead expenses, and ensuring the integrity of master data and BOMs.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Director to evaluate capex projects, model impacts, support execution, and track results against assumptions.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures.
  • Work with the IT team to improve and expand BI and reporting tools.
  • Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals, supporting their professional development.

Required qualifications, aptitudes, and experiences :

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in FP&A or related roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in process improvement projects within the department.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of standard costing and inventory valuation concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and advanced IT skills (Excel).
  • Exceptional English communication skills.
  • Good French communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include Six Sigma, Lean, or other Continuous Improvement certifications, and knowledge of Salesforce, Power BI, and other BI tools.
