A career as Manager Financing Solutions in the Commercial & Private Wealth Management 1859 team means working closely with commercial account managers and various internal and external partners as a credit expert. This role allows you to positively impact colleagues and customers through your knowledge of commercial financing.

Your Responsibilities :

  1. Perform high-quality credit analyses according to Credit Centre standards and make recommendations.
  2. Structure credit applications (board sheet structuring) by mitigating risks and developing financing scenarios that meet client needs and align with the bank's risk criteria.
  3. Collaborate with the Commercial Account Manager to determine client financing needs.
  4. Negotiate credit terms and conditions with Credit Risk Management and confirm financing availability for the Commercial Account Manager.
  5. Obtain feedback from Account Managers on preliminary credit applications, adjust as needed, and present to the RVP before submission to Credit Risk Management, ensuring they meet the bank's profitability standards.
  6. Prepare documents and update client files collaboratively to ensure efficient credit application processing.
  7. Serve as a resource for your team on credit matters and support skills development in this area.
  8. Identify inherent risks in sector activities.

Your Team :

You will be part of a team supporting commercial clients within the Commercial & Private Wealth Management 1859 sector, surrounded by a network of experts to help you deliver optimal solutions.

The position reports to the Regional Vice-President, based in Montreal, with flexibility to work remotely and occasional travel for client and team meetings.

Basic Requirements :

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant experience, OR a master’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience, OR an undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Negotiation experience.
  • Experience in commercial credit.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration and recommendation formulation.
