The Ontario Cannabis Store provides safe, responsible access to recreational cannabis for adults 19 and older. We operate the sole legal online store for recreational cannabis in Ontario and are the provincial wholesaler of cannabis for private retail stores.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Financial Systems Manager (FP&A) to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing reporting, planning, and analysis activities within a dedicated Corporate Performance Management tool. As the subject matter expert, the Financial Systems Manager will lead the overall vision, recommendations, implementation, and ongoing development and maintenance of the OneStream FP&A tool.

With the support of one direct report, the team will assist end users, uphold data integrity, and maintain system controls. The Financial Systems Manager will also drive the tool’s continued expansion by gathering and incorporating feedback from OCS business partners. Additionally, the Financial Systems Manager, alongside their team, will ensure resolution of system-related issues (e.g., Power BI, D365) on behalf of the FP&A team.

About Your Day

  • Develop and publish dashboards that support OCS management decision making
  • Take a lead role in development of new processes and new reporting to better understand the company’s financial landscape
  • Identify and execute ad hoc analytical projects that deepen business insight and drive value within the OCS
  • Identify and recommend improvements to the FP&A processes for greater efficiency
  • Lead efforts to implement and adopt new systems or processes across cross-functional teams
  • Lead future FP&A solution implementation/contract renewal activities
  • Lead knowledge transfer workshops or educational sessions for the finance team
  • Accountable for FP&A tool users within Finance, Wholesale, Merchandise Planning and Supply Chain in tool adoption activities
  • Provide consultation regarding issues with configuration
  • Document existing workflows and processes
  • Ensure the project governance is accurate and up to date
  • Lead training for end users on the FP&A tool
  • Take a lead role to manage identified other system (e.g., PowerBI, D365) issues and work with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to resolve on behalf of FP&A
  • Act as Subject-Matter Expert for the FP&A tool (currently, OneStream)
  • Partner with the Finance team to ensure ongoing FP&A tool integrity with the General Ledger
  • Configure and maintain security and access profiles for existing and future users
  • Collaborate between project management teams within Finance, IT and System implementation consultants in the ongoing maintenance of the FP&A tool
  • Coach/mentor direct report to act as backup support for day-to-day activities and support data analysis
  • Act as FP&A Tool ambassador/thought leader within the OneStream community which may include speaking at external conference panel discussions
  • Manage and maintain contractual and customer relationship with OneStream partner
  • Assist with implementation of special FP&A projects as needed

About You

  • Post-secondary education in Finance / Accounting or related fields
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business (Accounting & Finance) is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting
  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
  • 2+ years of experience working with OneStream tool
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred
  • Experience managing a financial system as a superuser/administrator is preferred
  • A recognized accounting accreditation [CA/CMA/CGA/CPA]
  • Experience with preparing presentations for the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership teams
  • Strong technical and analytical skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Experience leading teams
  • Experience leading and supporting cross-functional teams through the adoption of new systems and enhancements
  • Advanced experience, knowledge, and skills in Microsoft analysis tools such as Power BI
  • Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills to provide professional analysis and recommendations

About the Job

  • This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The current in office requirement is a minimum of 3 days/week (may be more depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge Street. However, OCS reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.

Compensation

The target hiring range for this position is 90,000- $105,000. This is a pay grade 6 role, with a salary range of $ 71,066.63 - $106,316.64. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
